Digitalization Weighted Health Index

This section provides high-level information about the University Digitalization Weighted Health Index scorecard.

UMT-CONNECTED reviewed, assessed, and calculated the digitalization a) compliance requirements, b) technological advancements and c) intrapreneurial initiatives taken by schools/institutes to generate the University Digitalization Weighted Health Index scorecard.

The index was created in accordance with the Teaching and Learning Strategy approved by the esteemed Board of Governors in 2019 and in adherence to the honorable President UMT’s directive.

The purpose of the health index is to analyze how each department from any school or an institute is following the digitalization parameters set by the university.

A three-faceted scorecard was created and developed to gauge the pace of digitalization shift across institutional academic division. This serves as an institutional digital pulse and allows decision-makers to remain constantly informed about the institutional position in the digital landscape.

Digitalization weighted health index is the indicator and the evidence that all the faculty members of the UMT are promotion digitalization in various ways. This index with regards to each department, school will be released soon. DWHI is the amalgamation of WCHI+WTIHI+WIHI.

DIGITALIZATION COMPLIANCE

One facet estimates the DIGITALIZATION COMPLIANCE at program, department and school level, presenting the results in form of an index after calculation of the Learning Management System usage, recorded lectures uploading, zero-credit courses inclusion, and The Art and Science of Teaching and Learning in Higher education course completion.

TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATION

The second facet estimates the percentage of TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATION at program, department and school level, with reference to the creation of relevant and novel Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), nomination of tech-change agents, enablement of faculty development model, and third-party MOOCs development.

DIGITALIZATION INITIATIVES

Finally, the third faced evaluates innovative DIGITALIZATION INITIATIVES taken and implemented by the esteemed faculty and staff members at program, department and school level.
